Back to Auckland

On Friday, we drove from Rotorua to Auckland.  We stopped at Hamurana Springs and Redwood grove.
The redwoods were very different from those on our west coast. These were very tall and not so big around.
The springs were amazing. I took this picture from a low bridge, looking down into at least 6' of water.
More than 1,000,000 gallons of water is delivered via these underground springs every hour.
We stopped to see some sheep, and the pigs and ducks thought we were there to see them! As soon as we walked by, the ducks began their single file march in our direction.
Then came the pigs.
We never made it to the sheep!

  1. I hope you get to see the sheep sometime, but the ducks and pigs were cute. However, they don't make good yarn. The link to Gabrielle Giffords doesn't work.
