Steamboat Springs

Last Sunday we drove up to Steamboat (about 2 hours northwest of Keystone).  We stayed 2 nights and hiked and biked.
The first day we took a 13 mile round-trip hike up (2,400' up!) to Long Lake.  The trail went through this beautiful aspen grove, and then past a large waterfall.
Then there were pretty wild flowers and a butterfly.
We finally got to the lake.
The next day we biked along the Yampa River.
And came upon some interesting artwork.

Long Time - No Post

It's about time I put up some more Colorado pictures.
Along the Colorado River.
At the Bluegrass and Beer Festival.
Hiking on a clear day.
Hiking on a not clear day (smoke from western wildfires - not in Colorado). We're standing at 11,700'.
Pretty wildflowers in Frisco.
Jil and the girls came up to Keystone for a long weekend. We all had a good time.
Atop Keystone Mountain.
In the middle of the Snake River.

Colorado

We arrived in Keystone on July 19 - just in time to welcome David and Donna (from the Connecticut Lewis family).  We had a great week with them - biking, playing tennis, attending a Baroque concert in Breck, hiking and going on the haywagon dinner ride.
Here we are ready for the ride to Dillon from Vail Pass.
Switching a tire at Copper Mountain.
On Keystone Lake
Heading out for the cuckwagon dinner.
