Wild Times in the Barossa Valley

At about midnight, Dec. 7, we woke up to a lightening and thunder and a rain storm that set records in lots of ways, closed roads due to flooding and cut off our power supply for 18 hours.  People were still talking about it today.  It was ominous from the start.

The next day.

We still had a good time tasting Barossa Valley wines and stopping at Maggie Beer's Farm Shop,

where we saw Maggie and these two beautiful creatures. I can't really identify this, but maybe it's a kind of Jewel Bug (even though it's not supposed to be here)?
