Wine, Jazz and Winter Sports

On Friday night, we went to the Keystone Winter Wine and Jazz Festival (very similar to Beer and Bluegrass).  We got our wine glass and there were over twenty wines to sample.  We didn't get to them all.  The Paul Glover Trio was playing.  And there were mini-spa treatments for free before the drinking started.
We went snowshoeing Saturday and took the beginner's 2K loop.
More extreme winter sports on Lake Dillon (SnowKiting).  We only took photos!
A really cool (no pun intended) ice castle in Silverthorne.

Back in Colorado

We flew to Denver Wednesday. Bart played squash in Evergreen and then we went to Louisville for the night. We took the girls out for pizza and ice cream Wednesday night and then drove up to Keystone Thursday. I know this is the same picture I always take - it's easy because it's from our balcony.  At least it looks different in different seasons!

Kate, James, Kyle and Liam visit Tucson

We had a good week with the Hynes' family - visiting local places and fun at home.  We went to the zoo, the botanical gardens, Agua Caliente, Biosphere2, Sabino Canyon and Raven Ranch.

Yes, we did have Christmas in Tucson

We had Christmas, just took me a while to post. On Christmas eve we had a great dinner with Jamie and Diana.  Jamie and I cooked  porc en daube (thanks Julia) and I made my first tart - a pear one.  Love the fluted edges.
It was a little chilly Christmas morning.
Then on New Year's Eve day we took a hike in the Rincons.
I know this is a crappy picture, but the little peak (that you can barely see) is Picacho Peak and it's halfway between Tucson and Phoenix.
Happy New Year Everyone!
